The South Hadley & Granby Chamber of Commerce (SHG Chamber) has been generously earmarked ARPA Funds from the South Hadley Select Board.
On December 19, 2023, the South Hadley Select Board approved the SHG Chamber awarding 7 Marketing & Social Media Packages to businesses located in the Town of South Hadley. Please review all of the eligibility requirements, package details, and application process below.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a business/organization/non-profit located within South Hadley, MA
Applicants do not have to be a member of the SHG Chamber
Must complete this application in its entirety and return as instructed below on or before February 9, 2024
PACKAGE DETAILS:
The package consists of 2 parts: the creation of a commercial/promotional video, and help managing social media platforms (Facebook and/or Instagram) for 60 days.
Please see the attached proposal from Allen Media, which covers the scope of the package in more detail.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Please complete the attached application (use additional pages to answer the questions, if needed)
Please send the completed application on or before February 9, 2024 to Steven Laplante via email at laplante.steven@yahoo.com, or via mail, to his attention, at 2 Lyman Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
All applications will be reviewed by the SHG Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors on February 15, 2024. The 7 chosen applications will be notified on or before March 1, 2024.
Once the 7 chosen applicants have been notified, Allen Media will contact the 7 applicants to start the process.
PLEASE NOTE: Chosen applicants will be asked to provide links to their current websites, social media accounts, and to provide logos, preferred brand fonts, color palettes, etc.

Egg-Stavaganza. This did not keep the families away. Such an amazing event!
Thank you to O'Brien Family Funeral Home for the invite to hold this event on their grounds. There was plenty of parking and space for all the businesses who participated.

I know that the last few weeks have presented significant challenges, unprecedented decision making, and examining how to do business differently. Our community may be small but we are tight! The Chamber wants to hear from you on how the COVID-19 has impacted your business. We hear the national and state-wide numbers but we want the data and stories that are local to us.

More than 140 people attended this event with the Amherst area Chamber on August 14th at Brunelle’s Marina. Guests networked while taking a ride on the Lady Bea and under the tent on shore! Premier Sponsors were People’s Bank, and Joni Fleming and Melissa Whitelock of ERA Laplante. The Boathouse restaurant provided appetizers and the cash bar.
The 29th Holiday Stroll in South Hadley on December 1st was successful in every way. The weather was picture perfect...mid-40's, a lovely moon floating overhead, and no wind. The crowds of families with children there to visit with Santa were entertained by holiday music, tables where they could decorate ginger men or sugar cookies, and create their own Holiday cards.
We are proud to welcome Liquor Town on Route 202 in South Hadley as a new member of the South Hadley & Granby Chamber of Commerce. Owner Vimal Patel recently opened this new business which offers a huge selection of craft beers, wines and spirits to the residents of South Hadley, Granby, and the surrounding communities.
The Chamber gratefully accepts Donations to help off-set costs for its Community Betterment programs. Please note: the Chamber is a 501(c)6 non-profit entity; charitable donations are not tax-deductible, but may be eligible as a business deduction—please consult your tax accountant.
