Our Annual Meeting held at the Willits-Hallowell Center on January 23rd was a great success. After an excellent dinner, Kevin McCaffrey, a SHG Chamber Board Member, called the meeting to order, and presented our slate of officers and the 2020 Board Class. With no nominations from the floor, the election of Michelle Theroux as President; Dina Mead, Vice President; Jessica Bodon, Clerk; and Alexandra Wearn-LaFlamme, Treasurer were elected unanimously. Michele Lyman and Regina Zebrowski were elected At Large Directors. The elected 2020 Director Class is made up of Carol Constant, Dina Mead, Darren Thomas, and Alex Wearn-LaFlamme.

With the business of the evening complete, Kevin turned the meeting over to President Michelle Theroux, who made a few remarks. She then introduced Michaeline Turgeon from the Granby 250th Anniversary Celebration and Sean Condon from the River Roll and Stroll Committee who each gave exciting introductions to their up-coming events this Spring.

Michelle then introduced our Keynote Speaker for the evening, George O’Brien, Editor of Business West Magazine. Mr. O’Brien entertained all present with tales from his time at BusinessWest and some insight into the business climate in Western Massachusetts, from his perspective. A totally enjoyable and interesting after-dinner talk! Thanks so much!
